Dear God,

Your hand is everywhere.  You touch creation and bring it to life.  You inspire us to faith.

Even as I write I am full to overflowing with gratitude.  From a tiny tomato seed to a jar of preserved homemade salsa, I saw your hand from the soil to the jar.  All week I peeled, chopped, and seeded tomatoes, cucumbers, varieties of peppers, onions, and herbs to make fiesta salsa.  From washing the soil off the vegetables I picked myself to ladling the salsa into the jars, I was inspired by your love for your children.

As we become more and more aware of your action in the world, the more we find ourselves drawing close to its Maker.

Mighty God,
thank you
for the fruit
of the earth.
Thank you
for rain
and sunshine
that tend
to the crops.
Thank you
for jars
of sunshine
that keep us
looking up
in thanksgiving.

Love, Andrea
