Dearest God,

For me every Sunday is a celebration, a time to gather, to give thanks, and to praise you.  It is a time when I reflect upon your great mercy always evident in my life no matter the condition or situation.  I think of how beautiful faith is and for an hour and a half I have the privilege of being with people who come together for the same reason.  There is always joy in worship!

This morning we listened to Mary Ann tell her story.  We learned how she came to faith and how three particular trials forged a deeper faith inside her.  All three trials included loss, pain, and suffering.  Although those times were extremely difficult, she leaned to you and found treasures waiting for her.  With each trial shared, she spoke the words from Bill Gaither's song, "The longer I serve him, the sweeter He grows."

The most prized gift of all is the one where you let us come to life in faith.  You show us around, tell us what is possible, and bless us in ways we could never have imagined.  This morning Mary Ann deepened the faith of everyone in that sanctuary.  When followed up by the same song from Bill Gaither, together we celebrated the wonder of our holy, blessed relationship with you.

Tender God,
thank you
for the
amazing gift
of faith.
Thank you
for guiding us
to you.
Thank you
for holy moments
that create
even deeper realms
of faith.
Praise you, Lord,
praise you always.

Love, Andrea
