Dear God,

We cannot see what you can see until we have eyes of faith.  Only then can the vision come to life for us.

When we first came to this property 12 years ago all I could see in the back was a wall of ugly, menacing, thorny bushes that rose up and met the low-hanging invasive Norway Maple trees.  It was an ominous place, a space I could never imagine walking into so I ignored it.  But then one day you whispered to me and that was the beginning of a wondrous, fascinating spiritual journey.

I began the labor of love by cutting down and digging up the first cow rose, at least that's what they called it.  Supposedly a century ago it was a nasty hedge to keep the cows in the pasture but then the cows vanished and a woods grew up and so did the hedges.  But when you said there was a spiritual path inside and pointed to what would become an opening, I believed you even when I couldn't see it.
For more than seven years I worked to reveal the path that was waiting.

Blessed Lord,
thank you
for entrusting
the path
to me.
Thank you
for spiritual openings
that came
when I listened
and followed you.
Thank you
for the beauty
that is
revealing itself.

Always, Andrea
