Dear God,
Yesterday the priest spoke of living in the light. This morning he talked about the light of faith in Mother Teresa. As he spoke her light glowed in the sanctuary as we contemplated her love and compassion. Wherever there is faith, love, and compassion there is always light.
We are drawn to the light, O Lord. We want to climb out of darkness and into the light. We want to gaze on light that warms, calms, and beautifies. We transform in the light. We shed the weight of fear, worry, and anxiety. And when we fill with your light, we too radiate.
Merciful God,
Light of the World,
shine your light
upon us.
Help us turn
toward the light
so we
can embrace
your light.
Take our darkness,
we pray,
let your light
fill us
with you
so we too
can light
the world
with faith,
love, and mercy.
Yours, Andrea
