Dear God,

There are moments of sublime joy with you.  When we see and feel your Holy Spirit working in our lives, we know that we know that we know we have a powerful relationship to the God of the cosmos.

How many times have I feared, felt paralyzed and when your Holy Spirit overturned that fear, I felt humbled and overjoyed.  When an answer came to an earnest prayer, I felt such mercy that my whole  body wanted to dance with joy (sometimes I did).  When an insight came to what I thought had no more possibilities, I felt overwhelmed with joy from on high.

You are the author of joy, O God.  When you give us hope to what seems a hopeless situation, you give us joy.  You let that joy change us from the inside out.  Joy brings light to a dark situation.  It brings peace and quiet (unless, of course, we jump for joy).  You are joy, Lord, you are joy!

for all

when you
helped us
conquer fear,
hopelessness,
and doubt.
Thank you
for blessing us
when we fall.
