Dear God,
How wonderful are the seasons of creation. How blessed are those transitions that begin at the end of one and pick up at the start of the next. Just as summer is beginning to fade, there are gentle hints of Autumn. You give us time to celebrate the gifts of summer and tease us with the beauty of what is to come.
Just today I smelled Autumn in the air. I thought of the change that is coming when the leaves turn red, gold, yellow, orange, and brown. I thought of chilly days and cold nights. I thought of pumpkins, apples, and harvest. But, it is not yet, but it is coming.
You bless us
with creation.
You provide us
so much beauty
in summer
but then,
there is Fall
in all
its glory.
You bring us
to you,
Holy One,
every season
brings us
to you.
Love, Andrea
