Dear God,

You have shown us how to trust you, Lord.  You have guided us to deeper levels of trust where we have tarried in spiritual pools of blessedness.  You have reminded us of the power of trust to open pathways to peace, hope, joy, light, and inspiration.

When our covenant group convened by conference call this morning, we sat in silence in Illinois, northern Indiana, central Indiana, and Maine.  We quieted our souls to make space for you.  We listened to your spirit voice.  We opened ourselves to the amazing depths of faith so we might sit with you for one hour as our hearts were attuned to the things of heaven. 

Every week we begin with sacred silence, devotion, and prayer.  One of us shares while the others wait for the movement of your spirit to share in response.  At the end we pray again and bid "God bless" to one another as we conclude our time together.

None of this is possible without you, Lord.  You brought us together nearly 30 years ago.  You have deepened our faith and trust in you and one another.  You have guided us to depths we could never have imagined.  You have blessed us because you taught us the value of faith and trust.  This morning in our intimate spiritual sharing, we saw your face and heard your voice.

that paves
the way
to peace.
Thank you
for touching
our lives again.
Thank you
for stretching
our faith
to accommodate
more trust.
Thank you
for grace-filled love
that invites us in
for a
prized moment
with you.
