Dearest God,
You paint the sky with spectacular colors to woo the human heart. Who is not touched, inspired by Autumn skies?
In the morning the sun rises with no trumpets blasting, no choirs singing; yet, it ascends upward with an array of colors to bless and soothe the troubled soul. At night as it begins its downward journey, it picks up colors to comfort the weary soul. Being wrapped in color in the morning starting our day and being enclosed in color at night as we begin to wind down is your way of saying good morning and good night.
So often we look for great miracles to believe in your existence. We hang onto the belief you will answer our every prayer in just the way we want it. We wait for some show of your mighty power. However, in the meantime we miss the gentle blessings of your handiwork, day in and day out.
When we begin and end our day with you, Holy Father, we are filled with gratitude for your living, loving presence. We no longer struggle for more evidence, rather, we surrender ourselves into the relationship that grows day by day knowing we live in a world with God whose steadfast love is constant.
Loving Creator,
thank you
for the
awesome beauty
of splendid
sunrises and sunsets.
Thank you
for blessing us
with wondrous images
of love
that will
not let
us go.
Thank you
for spiritual awareness
that keeps us close.
Love always, Andrea
