Dear God,

Your spirit is always present wherever we find ourselves.  We may feel alone, lost, or lonely and in that place we discover your nearness.  We may be on a journey from one place to another and find you beside us. Or we may be far from home and know you are with us.  No matter where we are you are a very living presence.

This morning we left for Maine.  We traveled through Indiana, Ohio, and into Pennsylvania.  Every road produced displays of your creation.  Each new city, town, and village brought you to mind. Although we were thinking of family we left behind with troubles, loss, and hospitalization, you came to us reminding us we are never far from you.  

There is nothing more important in life than walking with you, O Lord.  There is nothing greater than a relationship with you.  There is no joy more wonderful than the joy of knowing you.
