Dear God,

O Lord, who can help us when our hearts are breaking?  Who can lift our spirit and give us hope?  Who can set our feet on solid ground and give life to those feet to walk forward?  Only you, O Lord, only you!

When I read of so much tragedy in the world and gaze upon my favorite cousin dying in the hospital, I know there is only one who can aid in our suffering.  You come to us on a gentle breeze.  You enter our hearts, souls, and minds.  You remind us of your great compassion because your love fills us.  You mercy oozes into every sorrowing place.  You do this because we are your children.

Bless those
who suffer,
Heavenly Father,
bless them,
I pray.
