Dear God,
Holy Saturday is that in between time, the horror of Good Friday and the great joy of Easter. In the spiritual life it seems we have many Holy Saturdays where we are trying to live through our Good Fridays in order to move to Easter. It is a time of doubt, sorrow, hopelessness, pain, confusion, and fear. We often wallow in this difficult time; however, people of faith remember we do not have to remain in Good Friday. We are just hours away from Easter.
Faith does that for us. Our belief, our conviction in Jesus, in God, gives us power, courage, and strength to let go of all that holds us back from resurrection. Faith gives us hope, a companion on our journey, toward change, inner change. And hope can take us a long, long way to Jesus.
Thank you
for Holy Saturdays,
Lord,
when we call
upon you
to transform us,
to move us
from Good Friday
to Easter morning.
Bless these days
when we
look to you
for power
from on high.
Thank you
for the possibility
of transformation.
Love, Andrea
