Dear God,

You build us up for hard things.  You put your strength inside us.  You pour your love into us that warms us enabling us to do what we think impossible.

This is what you did for me today.  You gave me everything I needed to face more than 100 grieving people while grieving myself.  As I stood before the crowd of loved ones, family and friends, I led the memorial service for my nephew killed by his own troubled son.  Although there was tears, sometimes sobbing, and the husband passed out and was carried out, still you breathed your breath into me to share the gospel of your kind mercy.

Today I realized more than ever just how much you care for us, how far you are willing to go to bless and help us, and how you put your spirit of power within us for the tasks before us.  There is no God like you!

to do
the hard thing.
Thank you
for mercy
that filled me today.
