Dearest God,

You are my refuge, a very present help in trouble.  The psalmist's words reverberate in my own soul when I think of the countless times you have been present when I was troubled.  Even as a pastor ministering with hurting souls, I have witnessed your presence circle and hold those whose hearts were distressed and wounded.  Yes, indeed your are a very present help in trouble.

Usually it is in the hard times we think of you and your desire to draw close to us.  But it is sweet in the good times when we pause to reflect and give thanks.  Today is one such day.  It's good for me right now and so I pause and reflect and offer up my deepest gratitude!

You are God;
there is none
like you.
I am blessed,
O Lord,
because you
are my God.
Thank you
for all
my blessings.
Thank you
for your
living presence
that holds,
helps and heals.
