Dear God,

Sometimes everything just looks the same, no change.  If we are in a difficult situation, this can be disconcerting.  But then, you, O God, can show us a different picture.

Snow came today.  And you know winter is my favorite season.  I love snow.  What the snow showed me today is how the same thing can look different with a simple small thing.  As I looked at the landscape yesterday, I just saw brown leaves falling and blowing in the wind.  The end of the Autumn season looks messy and dead.  When the snow came, everything glistened and looked beautiful.  I could not keep my eyes off the developing snow storm.  When morning arrived, I looked at the same place and saw something different.

I realize, dear God, you want us to take a second look at our own situation.  You want us to see possibility, hope and the opportunity for transformation.  When we look with a second set of eyes, we begin to see as you see.  Change is always possible.  It will come at some point or another, maybe not the way we had hoped, sometimes it is even better.

to be open
to the change
you want
to bring.
Help us
see more.
Give us trust
to believe
and surrender.
Thank you
for the
beautiful snow
and the lesson
it brought.
