Dear God,
The snow, ice and cold winds came as I settled back into bed. Always delighted for winter to come, I smiled giving thanks for the wondrous season of winter.
Every season reveals your greatness, O God. Early spring flowers bring color to an otherwise colorless winter. Summer brings green and every color under the sun. And Autumn gives orange, gold, and red priority.
But winter, ah yes, winter brings majesty, power and outrageous beauty. Fresh falling snow brings a kind of purity with it reminding me of all that is pure from your hands, spiritual manna, food from heaven, faith in its sweetest form and mercy dripping with amazing grace. Although we may not notice the shape of trees all year long, we notice how they rise up in the winter holding every snowflake that falls its way. Such rare beauty! And snow gives protection to all the plants that lay hidden just beneath the ground.
As I sit back and look on gorgeous winter scenes, I can only sing your praises!
Loving Winter God,
thank you
for the
wondrous nature
of winter.
Thank you
for all
she brings.
Thank you
for blessing us
with another
beautiful scene
from your
loving hand.
Love always, Andrea
