Dear God,
This morning as I awakened, I felt panicky and anxious. I wondered if my loved ones would be diagnosed with this deadly virus. Truly, I felt frightened but then I sat down with my circle of friends, authors of books who live a life of faith from differing time periods, those who lived during difficult times. As I read and listened for your voice, I realized your words: Do not be afraid.
Who can offer us more comfort than you, O God? Who wants to put salve on our wounded hearts? Who wants to anoint us with the oil of gladness? Who wants to give us strength and courage and peace? Who wants to put inside us the hope of the ages? You, O God, you.
As I listen
to your voice,
dear God,
my mind
is calmed,
my spirit
finds peace.
You have everything
we need,
dearest God.
May I
live out
of faith,
not fear.
Love, Andrea
