Dear God,
I love the thought of being one of your children. I love that all people on earth are members of your family. I love that you are our God regardless of the names we call you.
This pandemic has rallied us to embrace one another, to pray for one another and to care for one another. Over and over again we hear and say, "We are all in this together." Somehow, some way, I sense we are one people, sisters and brothers to one another regardless of anything else. I love that. As I pray for border people, all those homeless souls who have left frightening, dangerous places to find a better, safer place to live, I think of them as family so I pray for them like family. I believe this pandemic has given us opportunity to experience an extended family to embrace and to be embraced by.
Thank you,
O God,
for your generosity.
Thank you
for making us one.
Thank you
for rare opportunities
to love
and give
and serve.
Yours, Andrea
