Dear God,

"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me."  I think of this mantra today as countless thousands are dying daily from Covid-19.  "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death...yes, you are with us, O Heavenly Father.

We continue to look to you, Gracious God, to be our comforter, helper and guide.  We need you to guide us through this lonely, terrifying and difficult time.  Like a shepherd among the flock, so do we need you as shepherd to heal us, carry us and hold us close.  And you do.

These are perilous times, Loving God, and we need you to lead us to living waters, spiritual food and healing balm.  Only you, have the power to truly tend to your flock of the sick, the living and the dying.

Almighty God,
fill us
with hope,
trust and love,
we pray.
