Dear God,
In the midst of every day living you teach us life lessons. Today as I worked in the garden, pruning, digging, raking, clearing, edging and laying mulch, you spoke to me. You reminded me to allow you to clear my mind of faulty, judgmental thinking. I was angry in my middle and found myself judging a good portion of the day. One word from you on a gentle spirit wind taught me to let go and return to you.
If only we would listen to you daily, if only we would trust you for all things, if only we thought of you first...if only. If only we acknowledged you as the power of faith, we could and would overcome all that threatens to take us down. So often we act and react without considering what you want of us. You know we hold high promise for transformation, if only we take your lead.
We need so much work, Lord. Take us back to the potter's shed; remake us.
I am sorry
for my thoughts,
O God.
Forgive me
for not
trusting you.
Teach me again
the ways
of faith.
Love, Andrea
