Dear God,

You set a task before us.  You give us creativity and imagination to do the work.  You give us strength to complete the task.  And when it is finished your stamp is on it.

There are so many things I do not know how to do.  I don't know the way to do it.  Nor do I have the insight and confidence in myself to accomplish those things you give me.  And yet, when I trust you completely, when I give my hands to you, when I open my mind in contemplative prayer, when I take the first step and when I let you use the whole of me for your grace-filled work, I can do things I never imagined.

A tangled, debris-filled, noxious, invasive and ugly woods has become a spiritual path across the last decade plus years.  As we unlocked lovely ferns, sweet wildflowers and open ways, the woods has been transformed into a beautiful sanctuary. Everything dances with your spirit breeze.  I see joy as they too trust you to move them.  And then, of course, I find myself moving too to the tune of grace.

Loving God,
how beautiful
is your work
on earth.
Thank you
for your
transformative work.
Thank you
for making
the impossible possible.

Love always, Andrea
