Dear God,

This morning I was moved by St. Paul when he reported your words, "I have loved you with an everlasting love."  If you love with an everlasting love, then your love is unconditional, forgiving, understanding, wise and compassionate.  This is a love we all wish to have embrace us.

Only you, O God, love this way.  Only you extend this kind of love to all, to every one, to each person in the cosmos.  We are created out of this love.  Your love makes so much possible.  Faith is made possible by this love.  Peace is as well.  Justice, kindness and mercy is born out of this love.

As I read and reread Paul's words, I heard your voice saying to each of us personally, "Andrea, I have loved you with an everlasting love. "John, Penny, Carol, Charlie, I have loved you all with an everlasting love."  Is there any better news this morning?
