Dear God,

How beautiful it is to watch birds come together, mate and give birth to babies.  To watch them care for their young, nesting, feeding and finally nudging them to the edge is an amazing sight.  Why?  Because I see your handprint on the birds, the process, the creation, the love and the tender care.  Who else but you, O Lord, has the power or mercy to offer this wondrous gift of creation?

Right now outside my kitchen is a couple of red cardinals.  They have made their temporary home in the flower garden my neighbor and I created.  How fun and wondrous it is to work with you, to help create a happy home for birds of the air who offer so much joy to observers.

And so, Gracious God, the birds, like so much else, directs us back to you.

Blessed are you,
Loving and Merciful God,
you know all
and provide all.
Thank you
for spring
and all
its many gifts.
Praise to you,
Eternal Creator.

Love, Andrea
