Dear God,

For weeks now I have been sitting with a saint.  Mother Teresa has been teaching me through her personal writings about faith, love, mission, service and compassion.

Through her own personal witness I learned how faith, love and trust are part and parcel of one another.  Take any one away and the others cannot fully exist.  But three together can make for a profound, powerful testimony in the world.  Her trust in you, her love for you and yours for her and her desire to never to hold anything back from you wowed the world.  She gave her all to you and the poor.  She was, is an example of all three of this spiritual qualities.

What makes one person so fully committed to you willing to sacrifice everything and another whose commitment is small, diluted and shallow?  Is it DNA?  Is it a deep understanding of "self?"  How do we become like Mother Teresa who as one person changed the meaning of love?

O God,
please help us
love like
Mother Teresa.
Please show
us the
true meaning
of love
and compassion.
Guide us
more and more
toward love,
I pray.

Yours, Andrea
