Dear God,

Finally, our black and brown brothers and sisters have received a victory over injustice!  How can it be that so many die with no justice, time and time again?  How?

If you created humankind, then all must be equal or none.  You have no favorites, no chosen ones over all others in terms of sacred and beloved.  Yet, whatever color we are, whatever we espouse, whatever we think or believe, we assume to be right, truth and only good.  Who are we to believe that way?

Teach us

the lesson

of creation,

of love for all,

of justice for all,

of compassion for all.

Make us

with a heart

like you,

a mind

like you

and a will

like you.
