Dear God,

The writer of the book of Hebrews listed what faith is and how faith was part of human lives in biblical times.  He continued by giving witness to many who trusted you and did incredible things by faith.  I remembered many of their stories.  That inspired me to reflect upon faith in my own life and what you have done in the midst of that faith.

That reflection caused many stories to rise up where you created healings, reconciliations, miracles, revelations and insight.  All these were gifts of faith.  My reading this morning caused me to acknowledge once again how by faith you work in our lives.  You worked thousands of years ago but also yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Holy God,

you are

the power

and source

of all

that is good

in this world.

Thank you

for faith,

for divine intervention,

for sacred help,

for blessed relief

and for

unexpected assistance.

Thank you

for allowing us

to participate

in life

with you.
