Dear God,

Contemplation, a way to see you in the moment.  The monastic community of Catholic sisters taught me how to contemplate.  How?  I simply watched them close their eyes and mouths, move into a holy silence and open themselves to your living, present spirit.  Over time I realized how much love is in contemplation.

As I practiced this newfound concept, I found new paths opening up.  Doors, windows and even cracks opened to me.  A refreshing, warm, loving spirit found me as I entered those paths.  Voices of faith spoke, joy bubbled over and peace came in fresh, new ways.  The longer I lingered, the more I saw the wondrous mysteries of faith, space and time.  And I fell in love...with you.

Loving God,
thank you
for the
amazing gift
of contemplation.
Thank you
for the way
in which
contemplation can happen
any time,
anywhere,
any situation.
You are
in the middle
of contemplation,
that magnificent space
of holy love
and grace.
Thank you,
Father,
thank you.

Love, Andrea
