Dear God,
When harsh words are spoken, our hearts can feel the crush of rejection, sorrow and pain. It can knock us down and we can stay down. But your last words on earth whisper in our ear, "I am with you always." Always means always. Always.
Like a hurt child runs to a parent when they are injured, you invite us to run to you where your arms are always open, waiting for us to enter. As we step inside those warm arms, we feel your love lifting our grief. You tell us you love us and always will.
Remind us
the lessons
of love
and faith,
O God.
Show us
the way
to you.
Thank you
for open arms
waiting for us.
Love, Andrea
