Dear God,

So many brothers and sisters are hurting right now.  In Turkey and Syria, 25,000 have died and many more injured in the earthquakes.  Thousands are dying from violence whether from wars or people who just want to be violent.  Many more are sick and hungry with no access to what they need.  So many are suffering.

Right now my life seems good but how can I celebrate my good fortune when sisters and brothers around the world are in pain?  I cannot fully appreciate my joy without thinking and praying and giving to others.  How can I enjoy my grace when others cannot find theirs?

Give me

a heart

of compassion

for all those

who hurt,

dear God.

We are 

all connected.

What hurts one

needs to 

be felt

by others

in order

for us

to help.

Lead us

to care

for the

whole world

not just some.
