Dear God,
Even in the midst of snow and cold temperatures, spring is working hard to burst into being. When I see small green stems surrounded by snow, I think of how the weather does not have the final word on birth, death and resurrection. It is you, O God, who controls the cosmos. When you whisper, "Rise up and live," all things can live again.
Perhaps that is why spring is so important. It gives us a new chance to shift, change and live. It reminds us that when all seems lost, at the end of the day we discover there is still a chance for transformation. Even for me.
Thank you,
Merciful God,
for more opportunities
for new life.
Thank you
for the blessing
of snow
and cold weather
but also
for spring
and rebirth.
You are God
so trusted
to be praised!
Love, Andrea
