Dear God,

Today is Janice's birthday.  She is 54 years old today.  I wished her a happy birthday.

But what I discover is a child's birthday is best for the child but the bestest for the mom.  I returned to the day of her birth, my first prayer for her, my hug and kisses.  I realize what a gift I was given when she was born.  She still lives and is happy.  That knowledge alone blesses me on her birthday.

You have a way of blessing us again and again.  No day goes by without you offering us a gift.  Today was the renewed gift of my daughter's life!
