Dear God,

Since I read the book, No Regrets, I have been reflecting on my last three quarters and wondering 

about my fourth quarter at the age of 76.  I realize we spend the first three quarters acquiring...family, friends, material goods, accomplishments and dreams and their fulfillment and the last quarter surrendering the same.  It is a sobering thought especially that surrender will include health.

Life is all about trust, isn't it Lord.  We are not guaranteed a long life or all our wishes given.  We just have to trust you and let you guide us through this life with a grateful heart.  Gratitude can be acquired but never surrendered.

grows old.

life lesson.
