Dear God,

There is no better feeling that being awakened by you, Holy, Loving God!  To awaken in the morning is one thing but awakening from confusion, doubt or fear is another thing altogether.  How many times did I find myself in darkness only to be awakened to the light?  And when I was afraid you awakened me to peace.  And even more when all hope was lost, you awakened me to your love? Yes, there is nothing sweeter.

Often, we forget your power and the extent of your love.  We forget the uncommon, extraordinary grace that becomes ours when you awaken all our senses to your living, loving presence.  

Moments ago I became aware of the true gift of awakening each morning but even more so for all the awakenings you have given me throughout my life.  All you, O God, all you.

Lord of Love.
