Dear God,

Only when we have stood in the midst of deep darkness can we know the sweetness of the light.  Just a crack, a small spark can change our personal world, our mood and our despair.  That light is always yours, O Lord, only yours.  I know this because I know the weakness of my own light.

My life has been all about light and darkness.  I can point to many scenes of darkness when I was lost, afraid and without hope.  But in every instance, you came bringing light.  You filled me with enough light to see my way out of my situation or change me enough so I could move forward in life.  As I sit here writing, I only see light looking back.  I know there was darkness to be sure but the light overpowers it so all I see is your glory shining!

penetrated by

your shining light.

giving up

on us.

for your light

that forever shines!
