Dear God,

Every Sunday there is a drawing power that invites me to join you for worship.  Although I like the music and the sermon and the fellowship, the real reason I go is to be with you, Holy God.  I go to sit with you, to give praise, to pray in thanksgiving, to sing my hopes and dreams and most of all to reaffirm my faith in you.  It is all very simple, to be present with your living presence.

Today was no different.  I wanted to be near, to see signs of your love and to drink from the cup of living water.  To hear your word and make sense of it for my life and the life of the world sustains me in every-day living.  As I returned home, I murmured my prayers once again expressing my deep gratitude for faith.

You are God;

there is none

like you.
