Dear God,

The earth, moon and stars are yours.  You made them all.  Creation is divinely designed. But we complain on a gray day or when rain falls on our parade or snow falls getting in our way.  But perhaps there is a better way.

When we see a tree, we need to think of the air it is providing, shade too.  When we see an open field, we need to think of food we eat.  When we witness a happy child, we need to think of joy we receive.  When we see a store, we need to think of clothing we can wear, a car we can drive to get us where we want to go, a bed in which we can sleep and find rest.  All these you have provided, O God, all you have provided.

Help us learn

to be 

grateful people,

Creator God.

Show us all

we enjoy

and benefit from.

Give us

thankful hearts

in which

to praise you.
