Dear God,
Why do birds sing? They sing the same song over and over again. Do they ever tire of singing the same thing?
There is something about bird songs that intrigue me. It is true they sing the same song but there is something amazing about that. They identify themselves by their song. They are uniquely gifted. No one, nothing sings their song. It is theirs and theirs alone. It is only their gift.
Because every song is a gift of grace, it is also a gift of beauty. When I sit at my kitchen table and gaze out the window, I listen to the cacophony of sound, like a choir or orchestra. I love it because they offer peace, comfort and hope. They sing of you, O God, and you alone. They invite me to join them in singing your praise.
Holy, holy, holy
are you,
Almighty and Magnificent God.
To you
all praise goes.
Thank you
for the
prized opportunity
for joining
the birds
and all creation
in singing
your praise.
Love, Andrea
