Dear God,

Oh, to step outside into a gentle, cool breeze after several weeks of stifling heat!  There is an aaahhh, ooo and ooohhhh response!  We close our eyes, take deep breaths, smile and melt right where we stand.  Why don't we do that when we are emotionally heated from the local, national, and international news?

Nature's gentle, cool breezes are a sign and invitation to the gentle breeze of your spirit, O God.  When we see, hear and feel one breeze, we need to pause, reflect and remember the countless times your spirit blew upon us and we stepped inside, breathing the air of freedom, hope and peace.  Your spirit breeze is even greater than nature's but one can lead us to the other!
