Dear God,

How can we forget you, O God?  In the course of our daily lives, how can we forget you?  Yet, we do.

To say I have been busy is an understatement but still not an excuse for not sitting down with you in our daily conversation.  Yes, I have whispered prayers throughout the day but I failed to set aside this morning time to listen, to wait and to follow.  I am sorry.

Forgive us,

Lord,

for time substituted 

for something else.

Remind us

this is

the better part

of the day

to be

with you exclusively.

Plant our feet

on solid ground

that always leads

to you,

we pray.
