Dear God,

When we live on the surface, we miss the beauty, strength and power of resources deep within.  We use only what we can see, touch and hear but with these are many limitations.  We soon run out of help to make decisions, find peace and move forward with actions.  We become distressed, frustrated and helpless.  But we do not need to do this.  

We forget that God is deep within us and we are deep within God.  Too often we believe God to be small, a tiny particle in our heart, mind or soul.  When we come up against hard times, our god is too small, too inadequate and too powerless.  Almost useless.  We truly fail to realize who God is and what God is about.  We power you down, O God, and we find ourselves alone facing issues that may be too big for us alone.

You have told us in so many ways you are to be trusted.  You are to be leaned into.  You are more powerful than we.  You have a grasp on our future and the future of others around us.  When we stand with you, we gain every resource we need.  Why would we turn anywhere else?

Holy God,

thank you

for blessing us

with deep resources

of faith,

light, hope.

power and strength.

Forgive us

when we operate

with you.

Teach us again

to look within

instead of without.
