Dear God,

Little Lucy, four years old, stepped over to me, kissed my knuckles and said, "Grandma, I love you." My heart was warmed so I scooped her up in my arms and gave her a great big kiss on the cheek. "I love you too, Sweet Darlin'!" I told her with a spreading smile.

Lucy's spontaneous act of affection reminds me of you. So often out of nowhere a gift from heaven reaches my heart. A song, a picture, a word, an unexpected hope, an answered prayer, a psalmist's praise touch me and I know their source. Each one circles me back to you.

Daily I discover your love waiting for me. I may be in a celebratory mood and want to share my happiness with you. I may be down in the dumps; yet, I find you whispering a word of encouragement to me. I may be doubtful or fearful when all of a sudden my doubts and fears will dissolve like sugar in a steaming hot cup of coffee and I know you are the power force behind that dissolution.

My favorite four year old grandchild (she's the only four year old in my life) reminds me all the time just how deep and wide your love is.

Mountains and valleys
are full
of your love,
Most Gracious God.
My little Lucy
proves your point.
My heart
is full,
O God,
full of love
for you.

Love, Andrea
