My dearest God,

Can it get any better than this? An amazing weekend with my husband of 25 years? And the knowledge that your power has set us on a path together, two paths far apart leading in different directions, now one path?

I am mystified by a loving power that can transform. When the human will is involved, a strong will, how is it you can enter that mind muscle, rewire it and make it new? Two wills even?

You have shown me that only faith can change the human mind, soul and will! Only you, O God, have the power to take a tiny seed of faith, to nurture it, feed it and grow it to do beautiful things. A dying marriage with faith, two people who love each other and a will for a new life can truly make something beautiful.

During our few days away I witnessed your faith in us making something beautiful. What we could not do on our own, you did. I am convinced that faith is a living organism full of hope. It can revive, renew and restore us. Faith is both gift and blessing. It is our connection with the sacred divine, a relationship as alive as husband and wife, mother and child. I have seen the benefits of faith laid at the feet of its creator.

and thanksgiving.

and mighty god.

is pure grace,
the gift
of heaven.
