Dearest God,

Some situations feel as if they will never change. Days turn into weeks, weeks into months, months into years. We pray but nothing seems to change. Then one day, a key turns, a door opens, a shift takes place and everything seems different.

I spoke with a friend today who experienced a change after what seemed to be a very long time. She and her co-workers prayed asking you for help, guidance, inspiration, and transformation. Surprisingly she herself began to change. Did her personal change lead to possible change in her situation and that of the other person?

How do we hold on long enough for change to occur? How do you even prompt us to pray for a change? How do we know when change is possible?

Loving God,
so full
of grace,
truth, mercy
and compassion,
lift our eyes
to you
so we
may see
what you see,
hear what
you hear,
feel what
you feel
so we
may look potentiality
in the face.
Help us trust
what we
see, hear and feel
from heaven.
Teach us
discernment, wisdom
and sacred watchfulness
so we may
be ready
to humbly follow
your plan.

Love, Andrea
