Dear God,

As I rise up with new strength, I realize the power of prayer to renew hope, faith, and peace.  Although it is sometimes easier to focus on the weaknesses, the failures, and the negatives of life, when a heart is turned toward you, a new courage is borne.

Some may say I am just getting better with my health condition.  However, I know it is more than that.  When you give me the opportunity to turn my eyes upon you, there are always possible surprises in the offing.  Things may change.  Healing may come.  Miracles can happen.  Perspectives can alter themselves allowing room for new understanding.  As I look to you, indeed life is looking up!

Teach me
to trust you
in all things,
Great and Powerful God;
show me
the way
to surrender.

for gifts
of hope
and peace.
