Dear God,
How does love bloom? I mean how does it begin and what causes it to grow? How does love stay alive blessing again and again?
I know I loved my children and grandchildren at first sight. I looked at those little eyes, fingers, and toes, and I said, "I love you, little one." My heart was so full of love that it seemed to want to burst. Through the years my love has grown and grown and grown. Yet, I still can't quite understand how the whole love thing works.
But then I think of you. Because I believe you create love, it only makes sense to believe that love is built into the human DNA. Is that true? Is it possible? And why do some people appear to be so full of love while others strain to relate to another?
As I ponder the love I have for my family, my thoughts always turn to you. How did I come to love them if not for the gift of love you put within me? And that love, it must be part of you; otherwise, what value is it really?
Let love
come down,
O Lord,
and let me
receive and
give it
to others.
Let me share
the wonders
of your
divine love
that touches
every heart
no matter
how distant
or reluctant
it may be.
Give me
the ability,
I pray,
to love
more and more.
Loving you especially today, Andrea
