Dear God,

I sought you and found you in a little bitty church on Ocean Avenue.  A 102-year-old stone structure, the Wildwood Chapel gave me a cool place to worship with 14 others.  We sang and prayed greeting one another just before the sermon.  A typical Baptist Church service I was grateful for an environment at 8:00 a.m. that would not cause me physical problems. I listened for your voice among the voices of those around me.  I was not disappointed.

I truly believe you are never lost from us.  Although I could not participate in my beloved Church on the Cape because the church building is too hot for me and creates health problems each time I attend, I was grateful to find a welcoming place where you reside.  I felt your presence and celebrated faith.

Gracious God,
thank you
for spiritual homes
that welcome us.
Thank you
for your spirit
that reminds us
of your closeness,
of your love,
and wondrous grace.
Thank you
for Wildwood,
its people,
and your
living presence there.

Love, Andrea
