Dear God,

It came easy.  Being attentive to your desire for the sanctuary being created in the woods was a delight and a joy.  As my friend and I worked to rid the forest of cow roses planted more than a century ago to create a hedge to keep cows in the pasture, I thought of its use for the next 100 years.

Cindy and I dug up stumps, cut down invasive trees using a chain saw for the first time, and cleared debris giving new life to small evergreens and pine trees.  As each new scene unfolded I was positive you too were glad for the joy this "dedicated to you sanctuary" would bring to our family, our friends, and to those who will occupy this land decades from now.  I was thrilled to participate in your long-term plan for sacred beauty and wonderment on Pleasant Street.
