Dear God,
This morning as I drove to the monastery, I gazed upon the full moon against the dark sky. The way the snow sparkled in the moonglow was spectacular and I thought how beautiful you made your creation. Then I listened to a Christmas album and I sang along to O Little Town of Bethlehem, Away in a Manger, and O Come All Ye Faithful. I pondered upon the lyrics, the melodies, and the harmonies and I thought about the way in which you inspire through music. When I drove into the entry of the Benedictine Monastery, I thought about the many symbols of faith that reveal a devout love for you. It was only 8:00 a.m. and already I had seen and heard manifestations of your living spirit in the world and I was glad.
Holy God,
thank you
for your
many blessings.
Thank you
for revelations
of your
living spirit.
Thank you
for allowing us
to gaze
upon your
majestic work.
Love always, Andrea
