My dearest God,

You bring visions reminding me of who you are and what you are able to do in human lives.  I am grateful.

Today you brought an image back to me.  At the time I was feeling lonely, lost, and despairing.  You came to me through a vivid image.  There I was in a very deep, dark, and tight well.  I simply could not move.  I remember feeling cold, trapped, and afraid.  I felt death hovering, waiting to claim me.  And then all of a sudden I felt a tiny jolt as if the bottom of the well was giving way.  I could not believe it when a sliver of light beneath me penetrated the darkness and shone all the way to the top of the well.  Little by little the light became brighter until the whole well was light and I felt myself lifted upward.  The lesson you taught me was a powerful one.  No matter how deep the darkness, the light is deeper still.

You are God;
there is none
like you.
As I
open myself
to you,
as I
trust you
to actively live
in my daily life,
I can anticipate
signs and symbols
of your
living presence.
As I
allow myself
to learn
at your feet,
my faith grows,
my love
and devotion
grows too.
Thank you,
Heavenly Father,
for your
great kindness
and compassion.
