Dear God,

Waiting...waiting for news of loved ones lost on a plane.  Waiting...waiting for a job.  Waiting..waiting.for results of a health test.  Waiting...waiting to find food for a very hungry family.  Waiting, Lord, waiting.
In life we have to wait and waiting is hard and stress producing.

You remind us there is a time and season for all things.  Waiting is a season.  But as we wait you wait with us.  You give us faith so we can breathe in hope.  You teach us patience.  You offer compassionate mercy. You show us the benefits of waiting so we can grow in grace and thanksgiving.

My friend is waiting for healing.  He has waited decades and now he is ready.  He wants to break free from the weight that has held him down.  He wants to fly, to soar to the heights in faith.  He waits...for how much longer, dear God?

Infuse us
with peace
while we wait,
Gracious God.
Hold us close.
Remind us
of the value
of waiting
while we wait.
Then set us free
to give praise
and thanksgiving
when our
answer comes,
I pray.

Love, Andrea
