Dear God,
You draw a circle and invite us in, a line with no beginning and no end. You include us, blemish and all. You are mine, you say, reminding us that we are loved like all the others.
There is nothing more beautiful than a sacred circle of beloved children. We are all different and unique, but we are all cherished because we are various images of you. As I think on it, I cannot imagine anything more wonderful because it is your design.
Last night I had a special dinner for neighbors. We are far apart politically, spiritually, and emotionally; yet, as we laughed and shared memorable stories from our past, I sensed we were one. There were no broken lines between us when my husband prayed. I could see us together at your table, none worthy to be there but all invited.
Thank you
for cherished memories
of faith.
Thank you
for bringing people together.
Thank you
for making us one.
Love, Andrea
